An engagement is a promise to marry; time between proposal and marriage. Let us be your engagement photographers and we promise to capture those unforgettable moments forever and be there for your wedding photography as well.
Summer, Beach, Sand, Water and engagement photography really doesn’t rhyme but you get the idea what this post is all about.
After hurricane Sandy destroyed most of the beaches and human habitat in New Jersey, people of New Jersey have made a remarkable recovery in such a short time. It has been less then a year since Sandy hit NJ and people living in NJ will never forget the aftermath. However, myth about sandy destroying Atlantic City boardwalk(beach) remains myth as the internet is filled with mix reports. I can assure you that the beach or the boardwalk is open as usual for business and regardless of what happened a year ago.
We wanted to stay with the theme of Summer, Beach, Sand, Water and engagement photography; We had a heck of a time to finalize the place and date but it was all worth it at the end. We decided to do the photo shoot around the board walk and the beach of Atlantic City, NJ.
Enjoys some of the engagement images taken on the beach of Atlantic City, NJ!
Once again! NYNJ Photography is proud to present, Engagement photos in rain!
William Shakespeare said, ” You say that you love the rain, but you open your umbrella when it rains. you say that you love the sun, but you find a shadow spot when it shines. You say that you love the wind, but you close windows when it blows. This is why I am afraid, you said that you love me too.”
This however is not true for Dipal and Chetan because they did not open their umbrellas when it rained.
It was raining way before we started the engagement photo session of Dipal and Chetan near Princeton, NJ. Due to their busy schedule, arranging it on some other day wasn’t possible. They didn’t pay any attention to rain through out the session and neither did we. However, wind and cold did keep us on our almost frozen toes that cold March evening.
We would move from outdoor to indoor when ever we couldn’t keep up with it. In the end, down pouring rain turned in to drizzle and what can I say! Photos will speak by them selves.
Thanks, Dipal and Chetan for trusting us.
Please let us know via comment section below to tell us how we did.
Amit & Urvi Pre-Wedding Photography in Manhattan, New York – Indian Wedding Photographer in New York
Amit & Urvi love NYC so we decided to do their pre-wedding shoot in Manhattan, New York. We all headed to NYC from three different directions for the shoot: NYNJ Photography from New Jersey, Amit from Indiana & Urvi from Virginia. To be bride in Indian Saree, handsome groom, idle weather and beautiful location with the view to Brooklyn Bridge. We can’t ask for anything more.
Once again we had another couple who claimed they can’t pose and are shy, but by the time we finished the shoot, they became professional models :).
Here are few images from the beautiful evening with Urvi & Amit. Don’t forget to add us on the Facebook.
We have been to so many shoot but we had a feeling even before the event started that this engagement shoot would be different. How? How about the hole night filled with emotions…..Yap. Not with emotional moments but full 5 hours filled with emotions. The family and friends along with Sujan and Aasta is kind and down to the earth. Not a sigle fraction of a second went by without their politeness and cooperation. Without their cooperation we would not have been able to capture the images we did. I would also like to thank Sandeep and Roshni for their kind words about NYNJ Photography to Sujan and Aasta which made the photo shoot on November 12, 2012 at Rasoi III located in Southbrunswick, NJ possible.
The event was planned very simple yet elegant. Engagement ceremony was traditional and did I mention filled with emotions? After the arrival of couple, we started the photo shoot for the couple. They provided adequate time and guests provided privacy and time, free of any disturbance to the couple, which is really very important to capture the moments. Love and affection was so natural between Aasta and Sujan which you can see it in their eyes so we decided not to apply any kind of effects to the images and kept as original as we can to show the feelings and innocence nature of Sujan and Aasta’s relationship.
Some of the pictures were taken inside of the venue to shot the coziness of the environment and then we moved outside. How would you shoot in a dark environment in which there is nothing but patio lights here and there, and nothing else. Only us(NYNJ Photography) thrive for the images to be captured in an environment that takes a lot of quick thinking and come up with unique ideas that suites the couple and their personality. We had in front of us what no one else had; Sujan and Aasta in the evening. The best way was to compare innocent love and feelings was to shoot with light(s) in the frame as darkness tried to cover us all and light kept the darkness away; so does the person who loves you will fight for you against all the darkness in life. But wait…there was another reason why we used lights. Because the light is also a key part of the image. There wouldn’t be any image without light. Right?
Bottom image: Effect is straight from the camera. Lens was zoomed in while the shutter was open which gives you zooming-in to the image effect.
What an awesome color combination of the cake. It was a pleasure to get a portrait of the cake.
